Lightbox: The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3

This was the first brief I ever worked on at Shine, and the first ad I made. The theme of The Handmaid’s Tale season 3 was the beginning of handmaid revolution against the oppressive republic of Gilead. To communicate this we went with an idea playing off censorship and ad blockers.

Given the show’s stressful content, we also sent out stress relief packages to influencers with relaxing tea, scented candles and bubble wrap featuring some of the show’s most anxiety inducing characters; that way they could ‘pop’ them as they watched the premiere. (I would’ve preferred if it was just the villains in the bubble wrap, but I’m over it now.)
